Bubbie’s Kitchen is an innovative cooking program where universal Jewish values are shared, holidays are experienced, foods are tasted, and we learn how mitzvot (good deeds and commandments) make our world a better place. Bubbie’s Kitchen is a welcoming place, and there’s room for all at Bubbie’s table!
The program replicates a Jewish grandmother’s kitchen, where language, recipes, music, stories, and activities can be enjoyed with the whole family and passed on to the next generation.

(makes one loaf)
(recipe produces 4-6 dozen hamantaschen)
Directions:
Preheat oven 350 degrees.
Combine all liquid ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well. Then add flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. We need a workable dough, so add dough in increments because we don’t want a dough that is too dry. Cut out circles of dough and fill with your favorite filling
Starting with a third of the dough, roll out on a clean surface (can place dough between two sheets of parchment paper for easier rolling).
Fill the center of each circle with about 1-2 tsp of filling and pinch sides to form a triangle. (we will learn this in depth during the class)
Place filled hamantaschen on a cookie sheet (about 12 per sheet and bake for approx 10 mins, till the bottoms are golden.
Allow to cool for 1 minute, then remove to a plate.
ENJOY!!
