Family Literacy

Through the generous funding of the Brooke Jackman Foundation, the Y offers a Family Literacy program for children ages 5-10 and their parents and guardians.

This program supports developing literacy skills in young learners while also fostering a family-wide love for reading and includes helping children reach their full potential as learners; providing literacy skills for their parents; and helping parents become full partners in the education of their children.

The program is free of charge, and it includes snacks, trips, book giveaways, interactive reading, games, and a quarterly showcase/special activity with hot dinner for the entire family.
